Mexico Surrogacy & IVF: New U.S. Standard System Explained| POWER IVF Live

Many prospective parents facing advanced age, shrinking fertility windows, or concerns about egg quality are seriously considering overseas IVF and egg freezing options. Mexico stands out as a top choice for more families due to its convenient location, inclusive legal environment, and significantly lower medical costs.

Why Build a U.S.-Standard Reproductive Center in Mexico

For years, POWER IVF has adhered to a strict principle: we only expand to new countries when the local medical level matches that of the United States. After nearly six years of preparation, we completed construction this year in Mexico City of a fully U.S.-modeled assisted reproduction system. This includes a reproductive center, our own egg bank, sperm bank, and supporting embryo laboratory. The entire operational workflow, embryo culture standards, and laboratory management align exactly with U.S. practices, designed and remotely guided by a U.S.-certified laboratory director.

POWER Egg Bank: Balancing Quality and Efficiency

We established our own egg bank in Mexico, currently with over 300 candidates covering Asian, Latin, and Caucasian donors—one of the largest egg banks in the Americas outside the U.S. All donors undergo comprehensive screening for genetic diseases, sexually transmitted infections, infectious diseases, psychological evaluation, and fertility pre-screening. Intended parents can select directly from the egg bank without waiting for donor stimulation and retrieval, saving substantial coordination time.

Unlike many agencies, we use our own funds to employ donors, ensuring complete control over egg quality and processes. Clinical data shows no significant difference between fresh and frozen eggs in fertilization rates, blastocyst formation rates, or clinical outcomes. Whether choosing frozen or fresh eggs, the full sequence—stimulation, retrieval, freezing, thawing, embryo culture—is handled by the same team under uniform standards.

Mexico Surrogacy: Legal Security and Cost Advantages

Mexican law takes an open stance on surrogacy, supporting single individuals, LGBTQ+ families, and all family structures. Birth certificates can reflect the actual family situation—for example, both partners in same-sex couples can be listed as legal parents—providing strong legal security for diverse families.

On costs, Mexico egg bank cycles are approximately 1/9 to 1/10 of U.S. prices, while surrogacy expenses are about 1/3 to 1/2 of U.S. levels. With our own egg bank, cycle timelines are far more controllable, avoiding the donor shortages and prolonged waits common in the U.S.

By transplanting mature U.S. laboratory systems, embryologist teams, and quality controls to Mexico, POWER IVF enables more families to access high-quality medical care in shorter timeframes and at more reasonable costs. Whether preserving fertility through egg freezing or initiating an IVF surrogacy cycle, our focus is on making the process more transparent and reassuring.
